Another week brings another launch based blog post! This posts comes a day late (oops), but yesterdays lesson was based around discovering what our strengths and weakness are, by taking an online test made by the website VIA. The test took about 10-15 minutes and asked us a series of questions that related to our character and how we behaved on a day-to-day basis, in the end giving us a list of 24 characteristics, ranked from our best, to ones we could probably work on more. My top four (in order), were; forgiveness, love, social intelligence and kindness. This was a really interesting activity for the whole class, because once we got our results, everyone found that although they may not have thought about it before, the strengths and weaknesses we got from this survey were fairly accurate. For me, I found the exercise really good in the fact that I had to honestly reflect on myself in order to complete the survey, which is something I don't often do in the sense that I don't always acknowledge my good qualities when I should. Going forward not only in launch, but in life, it is my goal to utilise my top strengths and by being able to identify these strengths with the help of this survey, this goal will be easier for me to achieve.

Hey everyone, so this is not only my first official blog post of 2020, but also my first post as a launch student! Each period so far as been interesting, and engaging, and it is making me much more excited for not only the rest of the year in launch, but the growth in character that this class will result in for me. As it is still early in both the term and the year, classes have been focused particularly on team-bonding and other creative exercises. This class we did Abstract Sunday activities, which included two drawing exercises. The first one, required us to sit in front of a window, and from our own perspective, take the objects/buildings we could see in front of us, and creative something new from them by drawing on the windows. This was a much more challenging activity than it would sound, but was a fun way to get the creative juices flowing. The next activity was a little less challenging, but largely just as creative. This activity entailed doing a random scribble, and then to the best of your ability, turning that scribble into a bird of some description. It was so intriguing to see everyone's different takes on the tasks, and how people create/produce things in such a unique way. All in all, the activities were successful at bringing the creativity out of everyone, as well as being an enjoyable way to spend the lesson! More updates to come x pic above - mine and fellow classmate Lily Taylor's scribble birds (mine is the green)
